James mentions that students should be able to determine the relevance of an information, distinguish between facts and opinions, identify unstated assumptions, detect biased propaganda, coming up with reasonable solutions, predict the possible to obstacles. Intelligence is the ability to make adaptive responses, to where as he knows some students are able to make better discussion through the understandings of all of the information that is being taught and how they hare being learned as an individual. Which leads to when the philosopher at Harvard, Nelson Goodman says some people are creative and some are not. I agree with this because during my high school years I never took art because me skills were not as great as all of my older sisters who can all draw including my younger sister. In those days drawing and being creative was not was best at. But what I was able to do is being creative on Photoshop wise, as of using a lot of pictures and putting them together as a one whole finished project.
Gardner who had helped with the research now says that being intelligence as the ability to solve and create products. The first listing:
1. Verbal/linguistic intelligence: It is being able to speak comfortably as of telling stories and persuading someone to follow a certain course.
2. Logical/mathematical intelligence: It is mostly about the standardize measure with computer programmers, accountants, lawyers. ect... They work with abstract and symbols to see connections between pieces of information that others might miss.
3 .Visual/spatial intelligence: Being able to learn by watching someone perform or teach something instead of learning it from instructions.
4. Body/kinesthetic intelligence: connection with mind and body altogether to do an activity. Such as dance, martial arts, and drama, etc...
5. Musical/tythmic intelligence: A person who hears musical patters and rhythms can reproduce them. They can reduce less stress and probably score an IQ test higher than those people who mediates.
6. Interpersonal intelligence: Managers, counselors, therapists, etc... A person who is able to negotiate and provide feedback or evaluate problems. Strong intuitive skills read the moods, temperaments, motivations, and intentions of others.
7. Intrapersonal intelligence: Ability to understand and articulate the inner workings of character and personality the highest order of thinking and reasoning is present in a person who has interpersonal intelligence.
8 Spiritual intelligence: tentative, considered as amalgam of interpersonal and intrapersonal awareness with
value" component add.
9. Practical intelligence: Skill that enables some people to take a computer or clock apart and put it back together. Common sense, ability to solve all sorts of daily problems without knowing how the solutions were reached. They will have a better understanding of cause and effect.

Staley's reading clearly talks about how someone's style is the way they dress or the way they think. The authors uses examples such as looking out the window or at the TV for news report to dress for the weather. I understand that because my brain works at the same time but differently at the same time. He also gives a another great example about choosing what you want as of a car, what model, is it as great as my old car. He gives a list of how to go about learning the answers to all of these self asked questions.
1. Visual: Some will look at charts, presentations, to learn from them.
2. Aural: Some will listen to others and learn what is the best thing to buy or to do any occasional facts.
3. Read/Write: Some will read and write. Read for a better understanding and take notes for further understandings.
4 Kinesthetic: Some of them will just go for it and try it out to see what the real fact is.
When I took the test I got A (4) B (2) C (4) D (6). I remember taking this kind of test that was in my senior year. I was more of visual learner but as for right now in college I am a kinsethetic learner, but when I read the other detailed of each category I think I am a person who writes and read, I think I have that still now in college and back in high school.

When I read about Twining's passage, it made me reflect back to high school. I remember going through the process of asking my classmates if they understood it and they said yeah since they completed the questions. But sometimes I don't understand why I am the only person who didn't understand the whole story. He says that it its important to do be able to do your own learning and ask questions to know what you are understanding. It is your job to know what you are learning, you know yourself better than anyone. One of my older sister her name is, Manaly. When I study for tests of math. She tells me to study how i know myself that I know what to study. Self-Questioning, asking your self questions which I do do that, note-taking, I take notes if I know that I need too. Questioning knowing how to ask or write down questions, paying close attention. Summarizing is something that I also to helping organize large quantities of information into a condensed easily remembered versions and tests of your understanding. Self-testing provides you with an opportunity to judge your understand of a subject prior to formal examinations it also prepares me for actual experience. Review and memory, it also best to review after and before tests to see if I really understand what is going on to the subject.
